USAA-ARIZONA INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT: Double FITA I – Indoor 18 meter Tournament (Star FITA)

 

Recurve Bow and Barebow – Two (2) – 600 rounds from 18 meters; – 40 cm target face (choice of single-spot, triangle or vertical three-spot face — must use choice for entire tournament); outer 10 ring scoring. (Double 600 round = 60 arrows x 2 rounds = 120 arrows)

 

Compound Bow- Two (2) – 600 rounds from 18 meters; 40 cm target face (choice of single spot, triangle or vertical three-spot face — must use choice for entire tournament); all compounds use inner 10 ring scoring regardless of age. (Double 600 round = 60 arrows x 2 rounds = 120 arrows) (60 Pound draw weight maximum as measured by the Tournament scale)

 

Target Face – All archers use a 40cm target face, regardless of age or category.

 

MEMBERSHIP – USAA/NAA membership listing Arizona residence is required to compete for the State Championship recognition. If your USAA membership expires prior to the official start date of the tournament, Your application will not be considered complete until your current membership is on file with the USAA.  All archers must show USAA membership card at the tournament registration table. Link to USA Archery – NAA Membership You can sign up for a tournament membership on line prior to the day of the event.  No registrations available at the tournament

Definitions of USAA AZ member or guest

If you are a full member and a resident of Arizona you are eligible to shoot for awards

If you are a full member and not a resident of Arizona you are not eligible for awards and must register as a guest

If you are a recreational member and resident of Arizona you must purchase an Temporary Membership from USA Archery to be eligible for awards

If you are a recreational member  do not purchase a Temporary Membership you are not eligible to shoot in the tournament

If you are not a member of USA Archery but are a member of NFAA you can buy a Temporary Membership and shoot as a guest

If you are an NFAA member and want to shoot with full eligibility, you must join with a Full Membership to USA Archery

Arrow Requirements (World Archery, Book 3):

11.1.7. Arrows of any type may be used provided they comply with the common meaning

of the word “arrow” as used in target archery, and do not cause undue damage to

target faces or butts.

11.1.7.1. An arrow consists of a shaft with a tip (point), nocks, fletching and, if desired, cresting. The maximum diameter of arrow shafts shall not exceed 9.3mm (arrow wraps shall not be considered as part of this limitation as long they do not extend further than 22cm toward the point of the arrow when measured from the throat – nock hole where the string sits – of the nock to the end of the wrap); the tips (points) for these arrows may have a maximum diameter of 9.4mm. All arrows of every athlete shall be marked with the athlete’s name or initials on the shaft. All arrows used in any end shall be identical and shall carry the same pattern and colour(s) of fletching, nocks and cresting, if any. Tracer nocks (electrically/electronically lighted arrow nocks) are not allowed.

            “Junior” through the calendar year of their 20th birthday (Born in or after 1994)

“Cadet” through the calendar year of their 17th birthday (Born in or after 1997)

“Cub” through the calendar year of their 14th birthday (Born in or after 2000)

“Bowman” through the calendar year of their 12th birthday (Born in or after 2002)

Space is limited – priority will be given to Arizona USAA Members.  Requests for the AM or PM shooting times will be prioritized by postmark dates.

 

Online waiver must be agreed to prior to participation in event.

·         Current USAA-AZ Youth Members……….. $40.00 ($30 entry fee + $10 BASF fee)

·         USAA-Arizona Family limit…………………. $115.00 (includes BASF range fees, three or more same family members at the same Arizona address)

      Guest……………………………………………..$70.00 ($50 entry fee + $20 BASF fee)

      No guest shooters!  USA Archery will have one tournament temporary membership available soon.  We will have a link here when it becomes available.
