TOURNAMENT RULES: USA ARCHERY including USAA World Archery rules effective April 1, 2015 will be enforced. Noted exceptions below

CHAMPIONSHIP ELIGIBILITY: USA Archery membership listing Arizona as your residence is required for you to compete for State Championship titles and awards. Guests (Non-USAA and/or Non-Arizonans) are welcome to shoot in a guest category.

CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS: Awards will be given to the top 3 in Elimination Rounds

RANKING ROUND: 72 arrow Ranking Round will determine the Olympic Round Brackets Single Distance

  • Recurves/Barebow (or basic Compound Genesis type bow) shoot 122cm Target Face
  • Compound shoot 80cm 6 ring Target Face
  • Recurve Junior/Senior shoot 70m
  • Recurve Cadet/Masters shoot 60m
  • Recurve Cub shoot 50m
  • Recurve Bowmen shoot 30m
  • Compound Cadet/Junior/Senior/Masters shoot 50m
  • Compound Bowmen/Cub shoot 30m
  • Barebow Junior/Senior shoot 60m
  • Barebow Cadet/Masters shoot 50m
  • Barebow Cub shoot 40m
  • Barebow Bowmen shoot 20m
  • Must shoot in Olympic rounds to be eligible for for awards, except if the division only has 2 or fewer archers, qualifying round will determine state champion
  • No awards given for qualifying rounds

Optional 90 Meter Money Shoot

  • Compounds shoot at 90 Meters on 40 CM Target Face outer 10 scoring
  • Recurves shoot 90 Meters on 60 CM Target Face outer 10 scoring
  • Compounds and Recurves do not compete against each other
  • Six Ends of Six Arrows
  • No Equipment Failures
  • Back up Bows Allowed
  • Two Archers per bale
  • $30 Buy in and must participate in State Outdoor
  • 100% pay back
  • 1st place 50%
  • 2nd place 30%
  • 3rd place 20%

 

Mandatory Elimination Rounds

  • 3 Arrow ends
  • 2 minute ends
  • Recurve/Barebow uses set scoring
  • Compound uses cumulative scoring 5 ends
  • Single elimination
  • No Equipment failures
  • Distances and target faces are the same as the ranking round, Any division with 2 or less archers will use qualifying score for championship and do not shoot in elimination rounds

 

Shade and Chairs: There will be shade for Archers and Spectators; however you should bring your own chairs. There is bleacher seating for Spectators.

8:30 am             1st Distance – 36 arrows Begins (approx. 90 Minutes)

11:45 am           2nd Distance – 36 arrows Begins (approx. 90 Minutes)

1:15 pm             90 Meter Optional Shoot

 

Oct 22, 2016 (Sunday):        8:30 am             Official Practice

9:00 am             Start of Elimination Rounds (Mandatory)

11:00 am           Lunch

11:45 am           Continuation of Elimination Rounds

Put away tournament equipment (all help is appreciated)

Our goal is to run the tournament as close as possible to this schedule but situations such as weather, protests or equipment failures may require us to modify the schedule. Announcements will be made at the Field.

“All USA Archery members will be required to show proof of membership at the time of tournament check-in. You can print out a copy of your membership card by going to the membership page of the USA Archery web site and logged into your personal account.”

You will be asked the following questions, they must be filled out on line

¨ Junior  (Participants may compete as a “Junior” through the calendar year of their 20th birthday)

¨ Master 50  (Participants may compete as a “Master 50” beginning in the calendar year of their 50th birthday)

¨ Master 60 (Participants may compete as a “Master 60” beginning in the calendar year of their 60th birthday)

¨ Master 70 (Participants may compete as a “Master 70” beginning in the calendar year of their 70th birthday)

¨ Senior   (any age)

 

USAA Membership Information:   Your membership number and expiration date are required at registration.

USAA Membership must be current at time of registration AND tournament.

 

Registration Fee:

Championship – Arizona JOADS       ¨ $55.00 (eligible for Title and Award)

Championship – Arizona Adults        ¨ $60.00 (eligible for Title and Award)

Open (Guest Category – no awards) ¨ $70.00 (for USAA members not listing Arizona as their residence.)

LATE FEE:                                     ¨ $20.00, Add late fee, if we will receive forms after October 15, 2016

Multiple Archer Family                    ¨ $150.00, for immediate families of 3 or 4 archers

 

Archers must show their USAA membership card at tournament check-in.
